Meet Alikitty’s 3D: Minnesota-Made Parts That Solve Real Problems

October 23, 2025 – New Brighton, MN

We started Alikitty’s 3D because we were tired of cheap plastic parts that don’t fit, don’t last, and just look out of place. Our goal has always been simple — make useful 3D printed parts that actually solve problems. Every design we make starts from a real issue we’ve run into ourselves, and we don’t stop tweaking until it fits, works, and looks perfect.

We’re a small shop up here in Minnesota, but everything that leaves our printers goes through careful hands. Whether it’s a clean BMW cupholder or a fixture for a local manufacturer, we care about how it’s made.

Why We Do What We Do

3D printing isn’t just for toys and keychains anymore. The technology has come a long way, and we use it to build real-world, functional parts — pieces that can take heat, stress, vibration, and time.

That means using the right materials:

  • PACF612 Carbon Fiber Nylon – Strong, clean, matte finish. Handles heat and looks OEM.
  • ABS & ASA – Great for temperature swings and outdoor use.
  • PC and Nylon Blends – Excellent for prototypes or production parts that take a beating.

We print with purpose. If we wouldn’t use the part ourselves, we don’t sell it.

The E30 Cupholder Problem (Solved)

If you own a BMW E30, you already know — there’s nowhere decent to put a drink. For years, E30 owners have had to choose between balancing a cup or using a flimsy clip-on. We fixed that.

Our E30 cupholders are designed from the ground up to blend in with the car’s interior and hold up to real use. They’re printed from PACF612 carbon-fiber nylon, which means they won’t melt, crack, or rattle around like cheap PLA ones.

You can choose between two versions:

  1. Standard Cupholder + Storage – Simple, clean, and functional.
  2. Cupholder + Stash Compartment – Hidden spot with a smell-proof cap.

We designed these to feel like they should’ve come with the car from the factory.

For Manufacturers and Local Businesses

We don’t just print car parts. A big part of what we do is helping local manufacturers and shops speed up production with custom printed solutions — things like jigs, fixtures, inspection tools, or short-run production parts.

We can take your idea, sketch, or CAD model and turn it into something solid, fast.

You get:

  • Less downtime waiting on tooling.
  • Parts made with purpose-built materials.
  • Design feedback so your parts don’t need rework later.

Everything’s made here in Minnesota. No waiting on overseas shipping or mystery materials.

Built to Look Right and Work Right

We don’t just care that a part works — we care how it feels in your hand. Every print is tuned for layer strength, finish, and geometry. Edges are smooth, fits are tight, and the surface looks right next to OEM plastics.

We test new materials all the time and push our printers to handle high-temp, high-stress jobs. The goal is always the same: parts that outlast expectations.

What’s Next

We’re diving deeper into:

  • High-temp printing for engine bay and industrial parts.
  • 3D scanning to reverse-engineer hard-to-find components.
  • Material testing to make sure every part meets real-world standards.

If you like seeing how things are made, follow us on TikTok and Instagram — we post behind-the-scenes prints, test clips, and new product drops weekly.

How to Get Started

  1. Car parts: Shop through our site or Etsy.

A Few Common Questions

Do your cupholders match OEM interior trim?

Yes, the carbon-fiber nylon gives a smooth, matte finish that blends right in.

Can you make custom parts for our shop?

Definitely. We design and print everything from small brackets to jigs and short-run batches.

How long does an order take?

Most parts are printed to order, but we’re quick. Custom jobs depend on the design — we’ll give you an ETA before starting.
